It has given me a much greater appreciation of the work of the early European artists – limited pigments compared to now, toxic pigments, dealing with impermanent colours, and how they managed to make their paintings glow within the limitations they had. I will also look more knowledgeably at abstract art.

Advertisements and branding will get a second look now – and I’ll check out the ‘buy’ buttons online!

I generally buy single pigment paints, now I’ll do some delving into the pigment and find out its history. Pigments are absolutely fascinating – who knew! Thanks for providing me with that insight.

I have learned that colour is much more complex than I used to think. It was great to learn about the evolution of paint colours and the increasing range. I am paying more attention to the choice of colours in paintingsadn designs and thinking more about why they were chosen.

It has shown just how detailed and in-depth colour is. One if the best courses I have ever done.

Found the info on Colour printing in art books fascinating. Always wondered why the accuracy of colour plates was often a bit suspect.

It has been eye-opening to learn more about how much thought goes into colours used in art and advertising. Also amazing to better appreciate how amazing so many artworks were with such a limited colour palette in the past.
